For ESG performance to be successful, entrepreneurship must always be able to adapt to changes in technological agility. Additionally, the disruptive features of blockchain are especially helpful in regions like the Western Balkans (WB), where widespread fraud and racial and cultural disparities necessitate open and reliable business practices. Cultural, social, and DEI corporate initiatives are also a popular and effective practice at WB. Thus, the following query is posed: is there a relationship, in a mediating role, between the performance of Blockchain adoption (BCA) and corporate social and cultural initiatives? A dataset of 780 WB and EU companies was used to test a serial mediation model, and the research conceptual model was validated (CFA) and fit evaluated (SEM). When corporate social and DEI initiatives act as mediators, we discovered a statistically sound (significant, positive) correlation between BCA and ESG success performance, particularly in the innovation and integrity ESG performance success indicators. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on corporate blockchain transformation, particularly for businesses looking to diversify their assets and skill set by investing in new international markets.
