An updated checklist of Uzbekistan pests of onion is presented based on our own research and literature data, with subsequent taxonomic and nomenclatural changes and corrections. The current list of onion pests studied is the first comprehensive checklist for the Uzbekistan territory. It includes 106 species within 8 orders, 34 families, 74 genera, belonging to Lepidoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Dermaptera, Hymenoptera, and Thysanoptera. According to the affinity of identified pests of an onion, it was noted that 106 species of pests live and feed on the plants. According to our investigations, insects are most likely feed on onion leaves compared to other pests. Our findings reveals that leaf-consuming insects as the predominant pest types at 34.9% of observed case, with following decreasing order of frequency that bulb damage at 14.2%, seedling damage at 12.3%, combinations of pseudo-stem and leaf damage at 11.3%, combined bulb and leaf damage at 9.4%, flower cluster and leaf damage at 4.7%, bulb plus pseudo-stem damage at 3.8%, seedling and leaf damage at 2.8%, bulb and seedling damage at 1.8%, alone root damage, combined bulb with seed damage, and lastly pseudo-stem, leaf and seedling damage at 0.9%
