Title of the Journal : WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS

Title of the Special Issue: Opportunities and Challenges of Sustainable Development Under the Global Political Economy System in the Post-COVID-19 era

Aim:
No one can deny the fact that COVID-19 has drastically changed the world. A short but important question is, after COVID-19 is over, what are the opportunities and challenges of the world's political economy system? Under the condition that every component of the system is more or less related to the other components, therefore, the changes that occur in any component will always affect the other components. Countries in the world are all elements of subsystems, i.e. regions, which together form a large system, i.e. the world. Internal changes, whether economic, political, or even the increase in Internet access, of a small country in one region may affect countries located in different regions that may have opposite time zones. Understanding the sustainable development of the world, which of course also requires the reduction of inequality, is not individual but necessarily within the context of the global system. This special issue of the journal WSEAS Transactions! on Systems aims to capture the phenomena taking place in different regions of the world in relation to sustainable development. This is to create an understanding of the state of knowledge, draw lessons from it, and relate its relationship to sustainability, or even non-sustainability, in the future. In this regard, the editor pays particular attention, but are not limited to these issues, to international relations, international trade & investment, internal politics, public policy, social development, and sustainability.
