Τerms of collaboration with the reviewers
By agreeing to review for a WSEAS journal, reviewers commit to adhering to established standards of scholarly publishing ethics and professional conduct, including the Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). WSEAS upholds and implements these principles throughout its review processes.
Reviewers acknowledge that high-quality manuscripts deemed unsuitable for one WSEAS journal may be redirected to another publication within the WSEAS portfolio that covers a related academic field. In such cases, the manuscript along with the accompanying peer review comments may be forwarded to the receiving journal to facilitate continued editorial assessment. By participating in the review process, the reviewer grants WSEAS permission to reuse their review reports for editorial functions, such as transferring submissions, in alignment with journal policies and COPE’s ethical framework.
The reviewer also agrees to the potential sharing of their name, contact information, and review content with an appropriate alternative journal within WSEAS, should the need arise. However, if a submission is transferred from a journal that does not employ Transparent Peer Review to one that does, prior reviews will not be carried over.
WSEAS aligns with COPE’s principles and is dedicated to supporting all stakeholders (reviewers, authors, and editors) in preserving ethical integrity throughout the publication process. COPE’s Core Practices are deeply embedded in our editorial workflows and guide our approach to maintaining strict confidentiality in peer review.
Consequently, all reviewers are required to keep all aspects of the peer review (manuscript content, reviewer feedback, and related communications) strictly confidential, both during and after the evaluation period, unless explicitly disclosed by the journal. For journals operating under single-, double-, or triple-anonymized review formats, this confidentiality obligation also includes all correspondence related to the review.
By participating as a reviewer, the reviewers will be eligible for the following benefits:
a) One free registration for a paper (subject to peer review) in any of our Journals launched after 2020.
b) Our reviewers might download an official reviewer certificate (PDF) from our website.
c) The contribution of the reviewers will be automatically recorded and acknowledged in our reviewer system.
d) The names of the reviewers will appear on the official WSEAS Reviewer List: http://wseas.com/reviewers.php
