Through quantitative research conducted among visitors and permanent residents, the study examines the contribution of festivals to the shaping of cultural identity, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the strengthening of social cohesion. Additionally, it analyzes the impact of festivals on the islands’ tourism dynamics and their role in stimulating the local economy. The study highlights music festivals as key agents of sustainable development, promoting local identity and social interaction in remote insular communities. Experimental results show that 78% of the participants recognize the important cultural value of music festivals for regional development.
