Abstract: Indonesia was founded on the rule of law and by the philosophy of Pancasila. In line with this, public legal awareness is a critical factor required to shape the country's legal culture, particularly in West Kalimantan. Efforts to enhance legal awareness in the community are carried out through two methods of legal counseling, namely indirect and direct. However, in practice, both methods have proven insufficiently effective, prompting the development of a digital-based legal counseling method. Based on this context, the research aimed to determine the opportunities and constraints in developing a digital-based legal counseling model in West Kalimantan using empirical legal and socio-legal methods. In conclusion, the challenges faced in the digital-based legal counseling model included: Limited internet access in Bengkayang and Landak Regencies. This obstacle reduced online education opportunities and limited digital economic prospects. The community also struggled to obtain information related to the law, which hindered digital-based legal counseling efforts. The lack of technological understanding among the community in both regencies directly impacted the ability to use digital advancements in various aspects of life, including the counseling model. The novelty of this research lies in the finding that there is community interest in West Kalimantan in adopting digital-based legal counseling methods, particularly the hybrid legal counseling method. This study concludes that one of the primary challenges in implementing a digital-based legal counseling model is limited internet access in certain areas, as shown by research conducted in Bengkayang and Landak districts.
