Abstract: This research investigates accessibility in touristic and cultural areas in Thira (Santorini), focusing on perceptions and attitudes of professionals working in tourist industries. Research is based on mixed methods, analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, in relevance to the Social Model of Disability and the Push-Pull Framework. Findings highlight limitations in transportation, infrastructure barriers, and a lack of adequate training for personnel working in this area. On the other hand, personnel are willing to adjust to more inclusive approaches, a matter that requires special training, and will result in broader improvement of the services provided.
