Abstract: This paper aims to make some contributions to the stability problems associated with linear neutral
systems comprising multiple time delays in the states together with involving multiple neutral delays in time
derivatives of states of system. We first develop an appropriate Lyapunov functional, and then derive new global
asymptotic stability conditions for such a model of systems with the help of this functional. The proposed stability
results basically depend on the constraint conditions that are imposed on the components of constant system
matrices without involving delay parameters. It is also shown that the obtained stability conditions improve some
formerly published corresponding stability conditions for the same model of neutral systems. This work also
studies a comparative numerical example to indicate advantage of the results of this paper over the past results
and demonstrate the applicability of the derived stability criteria of the algebraic forms.
