Green Eye Cube: A Solar-Powered Rotational Ground Sensor System for Real-Time Crop Monitoring and VOC Detection

Abstract: Agriculture faces a digital revolution powered by IoT, AI, and cloud systems, especially in resource-scarce regions where boosting output without excess inputs is vital. We present Green Eye Cube, a self-sustaining IoT monitor that fuses sensors for soil moisture, air conditions, light, and VOCs into an ESP32 core. Data streams to a Node.js dashboard for live visuals, image uploads for crop ailment diagnosis, and AI insights—distinct from our prior ESP32 prototypes by adding VOC-pest fusion and on-device NDVI (ref [our 2024 conf. paper]). Trials yielded NDVI=0.917 (t=5.1 vs baseline), 92% forecast alignment, and fungal alerts 48 hours early. Solar autonomy suits remote plots; next steps: drone NDVI, richer disease libraries, auto-irrigation.
