An Overview of Engines for Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Abstract: One of the most important inventions of humanity, which is also one of the most complex constructions, is the flying vehicles and their engines. In this study, we will present the main types and applications of aircraft motors, examining the various types of internal combustion engines and the principles of operation of heat engines. More specifically, the main components of gas turbines and their basic characteristics will be discussed. The scope of discussion is the choice of motors for the rapid prototyping of small unmanned aerial vehicles, suitable for military and civilian operations.
