Application of the Vincula-ODS© Methodology in Scientific Research Integrating the Sustainable Development Goals: A step-by-step Guide

Abstract: This article presents a methodological guide for integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic projects through the structured application of the VINCULA-ODS© methodology. Through the analysis of 14 research projects conducted at Peruvian universities, the model's usefulness in guiding theses toward sustainability is validated. A qualitative approach is used, and the study is organized according to the phases of the IMRAD method. The results show significant improvements in problem formulation, methodological consistency, use of SDG indicators, and articulation of conclusions with social impact. The discussion highlights the relevance of the approach in higher education, while recognizing limitations and proposing improvements. The VINCULA-ODS© methodology is established as a replicable tool for aligning scientific production with global challenges of sustainable development.
