Analysis of the Influence of the Circaseptan Cycle on the Blood Pressure of a Retired Male Hypertension Patient

Abstract: Studies about blood-pressure measurements give contradictory results concerning variability across the week. Some studies indicate a Monday surge, other studies suggest relatively low values on the weekend, and still other studies do not find any significant differences across the week. The data analyzed thus far concern individuals, occasionally populations, that were measured either once or up to two weeks. This implies that the available data do not provide reliable information about the weekly variability of an individual if measured for a prolonged time. The present study fills this gap in knowledge by presenting an analysis of systematic measurements of an individual over a full year. The huge set of data (2196 SBP and 2196 DBP measurements) indicates a great variability across the week, without statistically significant tendencies.
