Analysis of Properties of Microfita Antenna with Altered Ground Plane

Abstract: This work analyzes the influence of a modified ground plane on a microfiche antenna with a circular patch on a rectangular substrate. The considered modification is the connection of a rectangular border to a central circle. When considering the change, better bandwidth is achieved leading to an increase of 122%. The prototype is built so that measured and simulated data can be compared
